This mixed media sculpture explores the tension between weight and fragility, stability and vulnerability. Constructed from cast and found materials, the work brings together contrasting textures and forms—rigid and organic, smooth and decayed. Suspended elements and precarious balances suggest bodily presence and absence, while the raw materiality evokes both ruin and resilience. The Balance of Being reflects on the strain of holding oneself together - physically, emotionally, and structurally - within unstable or transitional environments.
