Things Fall
2026
Group Exhibition
Fox Companion (2025) and Unstable Attendants (2025) were presented as part of Things Fall, an exhibition exploring ideas of instability, precarity and material transformation. Bringing together artists working with improvised, found and everyday materials, the exhibition considered sculpture as something contingent, process-led and resistant to fixed or monumental form.
Across both works that David exhibited, there is an emphasis on uncertain relationships, between objects, environments and more-than-human actors. Fox Companion introduces a non-human collaborator, where sculptural assemblages become activated through interaction. In contrast, Unstable Attendants presents a more intimate, physical encounter between forms that appear to lean, support and depend on one another, held in a state of unresolved balance.
