Wysing Inside Out is a project in which the entire 11 acre site has been turned over to the 24 contemporary artists who work from it every day. Artists have taken over kitchens, offices, greenhouses, Wysing’s farmhouse and other spaces, including the gallery, as an alternative take on the open studios format. In doing so they have revealed hidden and unseen parts of Wysing that you may have never noticed before whilst also given their work a whole new dynamic context.

Wysing Inside Out is part of Tate Modern and ICA’s Out of Bounds season, to celebrate the launch of the Cultural Olympiad. This event takes place at Cornerhouse, the ICA, Tate Modern and a number of other contemporary art spaces, including Wysing. All of the activities employ hidden, backstage and non-public sites at the participating institutions, spaces that are already ‘owned’ by the public but which the public cannot usually see.

For Wysing Inside Out David created a multi-layered site-responsive installation and ‘live-interference’ in an abandoned poly-tunnel at Wysing Arts Centre.
